When we were in Boulder, as soon as we'd finish a bike or run, Ryan would hop into the hot tub at the house we were staying in. I, on the other hand, would diligently complete my stretching and core/strength work and rehydrate before hopping into the hot tub.
I guess my point in noting this is to say: sometimes, you can do ALL.THE.RIGHT.THINGS....and still get hurt. Every medical professional that I've talked to about my foot 100% blames it solely on the terrain I ran on in Boulder. This is encouraging, because I was definitely frustrated to come out of Boulder injured, despite doing everything "right."
Thanks for all of the support throughout this unexpected journey. I am SO ready to turn the page on this chapter of my journey to our "Five Year Kona Plan."
