There was SO much to learn before and after having my babies. I started keeping track of things I learned or wish I had known so that if I am fortunate enough to become pregnant again, I will have all of this to look back on.
Best advice
- Accept and ask for help
- Join Facebook groups! Twin moms, exclusively pumping, buy nothing, moms in the area
- Don’t skip MOTN pump (Duolingo and blogging have been helpful for me!)
- Figure out an overnight system so that you and your partner aren’t fighting at 12am when baby wakes up (only furthering your frustration)
- Experience of friends who recently have had kids is invaluable (pediatrician, borrowing items, hospital questions, etc)
- There is no “right” way to parent. People will criticize everything (way you hold your baby, how you feed your baby, what you feed your baby, etc.)
